The Jankasaurus
A 35-foot mobile platform for music and art, the Jankasaurus uniquely bridges the gap between Burning Man and the live-music festival scene. Road-legal, the Jankasaurus has the ability to instantly create a party. It is also self-sufficient, with a 5,500 watt generator powering the stage (and more) and plentiful AC outlets. To light up the sky, the Jank has five flame cannons with independent fire controls. Two large storage tanks below deck carry up to 75 gallons of propane. Two accumulator tanks are mounted on the roof. On the front, an air horn is routed through the trombone section, for a deeply musical sonic blast. An upper lounge supports up to twelve people and provides an incredible way to enjoy a show. Access is via a welded-steel side ladder. |
The 'da Vinci'-style side wings are removed for highway travel. For stationary performances, rear and front jacks are lowered for stability and a stage extension is mounted on the front of the stage. When the generator is in use for a stationary show, exhaust is snaked away from the stage via a 25-foot hose. Shore-power may also be used to power the stage at both 220v or 110v. |
The main cabin features a stunning wood and velvet steam-punked interior with seating for 12 to 15. A maze of old brass horns line the ceiling, intricately connected together.
For stationary shows, the main cabin may serve as a "back-stage" area and dressing room. Or, with the blinds and windows open, it may also become a theatrical extension of the stage and performance. The main cabin also sports an RV-grade air conditioner, which, along with a rear-roll up/down door, can easily turn the interior cabin into an arctic-zone. For standing passengers, a brass hand-rail runs overhead. |
The on-board stage audio is controlled by the Mackie DL1608 wireless mixer. Mixing is done via IPad and supports up to 16 inputs with on-board, independent effects. Three Crown 1000's power the mains and subs. The monitors are self-powered JBL Eons. Stage and exterior vehicle lighting is controlled by DMX. A crystal chandelier is added for stationary shows.
For aerialists, 2 aerial booms extend from the upper rear of the Jank, 13 feet high. The rear portion of the stage also houses a sparkling wood dance floor. |
The Jankasaurus is available for booking at your private parties and events, subject to logistical limitations.

Anti-Dysentary
Jankytown's original art car, the nimble, old-west Anti-Dysentary Wagon lights up the sky with 5 cannons of flame efx. Designed, built and piloted by Scott Schipper, Anti-Dysentary sports a surisingly powerful flame and light show, remotely controlled with two digital sequencers, hand-built and programmed by Scott.
Relax and ride in the cushed-out interior, grooving to refreshingly awesome playlists. Control the lightshow with a joystick, and blast sequenced flames with a touch of a button. Too cool! |
